Sun Safety for PWABC

Sun exposure is the leading cause of skin cancer in Canada and outdoor workers are 2.5 to 3.5 times more likely to develop cancer than indoor workers. WorkSafeBC regulations require that all employees working outdoors be aware of the risks and hazards associated with ultraviolet radiation. As outdoor work increases during the summer months, this course presents a current review of what sun safety is; what the hazards of sun exposure truly are; and how to keep yourself safe while working outside.
